Investigate Mpesa Outage Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru Orders

If you are a Mpesa user, which I believe 99.9% of all Kenyans are, I am sure you noticed anomalies with the service. This happened from Saturday evening to early Sunday. When services like Mpesa go down, a lot government offices, businesses and individuals suffer great inconveniences and it’s from this that the Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru ordered the Communications Authority and the Central Bank to Investigate what really happened.

The report from the investigation to what caused the Mpesa outage, will be handed to the government and should table what caused it and measures taken to prevent such occurrence in future.

Mr Mucheru urged Kenyans to explore and use other mobile money transfer services as a backup plan should such failures happen in future.
